Web Based SMS (Short Message Service)
Mobile phones have become the single most effective channel in which we as people communicate. This channel of communication can also be built in to your web management system or even your website. Automated SMS is the process of sending out SMS messages to mobile numbers (which you have stored in your data base) based on certain inputs. This is completely analogous to email marketing. An SMS terminal, offering free and easy SMS functionality, may also be built in to your website to generate a traffic stream and attract new users to your website
For example: Consider the the sports club management system. Administration users need to distribute information amongst the club and this can be done by email, however you are not guaranteed that every body has an email address or the message may need to be distributed very quickly and your not guaranteed that your members will check to the information in time. An SMS broadcast could be used to distribute the information.
